Before going with Front Range, I got a bid from Western Fireplace for a direct-vent gas insert to replace my old open gas fireplace. The Western Fireplace unit was a small thing that would have been lost in an ugly oversized surround. When I asked for something bigger, I was told I’d have to enlarge the chase.



But with no prompting from me, Front Range proposed keeping the current chase and installing a bigger unit whose large face requires almost no surround. Front Range did the job weeks sooner than the competition had proposed and for less money.



The women who answer the phones talk too fast and slur their words, even after repeated requests to slow down. Still, I’d happily use Front Range again.
