Provided by YP.comIf you want explosive diarrhea and to puke your guts out into the wee morning hours...eat here. To begin with, "Great China Buffet" is not great...nor is it good, okay, or even palatable. The food is repulsive, the bathrooms are in worse condition than a truckstop, and honestly the whole place is a cesspool of filth. Normally, I would give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, chalking the poor meal up to an "off" day in the kitchen, leave, and give it another go at a later date. Well, this time was a different story and needless to say, I will never be returning to the "Great" China Buffet.
Walking in, the food smelled pretty good and my friends and I were excited for dinner. After stupidly handing over our money to the guy behind the counter, we began to fill our plates. After about five minutes in, we realized that there wasn't much to choose from that looked fresh. When we took our first bites, EVERYTHING tasted like old grease. Giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, we went up and grabbed more items, hoping these would be better than the last. To our disgust, the second round was worse than the first, we put down our forks and decided it was time to go. Immediately after this, (with churning, upset stomachs) we walked to the man at the counter and politely asked for a refund. To our surprise, he sneered at us, saying "Some people like it, some people don't!" Wow...good business motto, man. We then asked the guy to talk to the manager, and the only response he could come up with was, "Manager no here today." He then asked to see our receipts, he looked at the time we payed, and rudely told us that we were in the restaurant for 30 minutes, and asked why we didn't come up right when we got there. We tried to explain how we tried multiple different items hoping that only a few dishes were yucky, but he just couldn't understand that. After about 10 minutes of arguing, and trying to get a refund, he refused and told us to leave. We called again later that night, asking for the manager's number and he refused to give us that too. All three of us got food poisoning, and wasted 13 bucks on a night of gastric distress.

Provided by YP.comThe rating should be zero but is not available so we are forced to give it one star.
Over priced!! Food is terrible. They do not maintain freshly cooked food on the bar. They do not want to seat you where you would prefer with practically no one in the establishment. The crab, even when put fresh on the bar, is over cooked. Our family loves Chinese food but could hardly find anything worth eating.
I would absolutely recommend "no one" eat there.

Although this is not the fanciest place in town, we have always enjoyed going there. I have read some of the other reviews, they have to have you pay up front, as it is a buffet; and yes, they will chase you down if you don't, because I am sure that there are people who try to not pay. As with any buffet, if it is busy, the food is replaced more often and is fresher. Hot food it difficult to keep fresh AND hot. I like that we can get soup, and typical chinese foods and I can get suishi also and shrimp. They have lots of stuff kids will eat like fruit. Everything from salad bar, suishi, chinese food, they do have crab legs and even desserts. They are not a talkative group who run it, but it is chinese, they are a more quiet people than those writing reviews here. We enjoy it.

A friend recommended this place to me, but I was very disappointed. First of all, you have to pay for everything up front, and the wait staff are not very useful. The variety of food is limited and tastes like it had been sitting out for a while. It's a sad excuse for a Chinese Buffet, especially for the price I paid. If I paid 5.99 per person for this food, then I wouldn't be able to complain. I am not going back :(

So... Had kids screaming for shrimp and crab legs, on a shopping trip so i decided to stop here cause it was on the way. They advertise crab legs and there were none. Anyways my son had got a bowl of wonton soup without the wontons cause he didnt know where they were. I got up and went over to the steam table and pulled the lid off the wonton streamer. There was so much steam built up under the lid it burned me.1st degree burn granted it isnt much but ouch!!! They werent very understanding but are promising to pay for the er bill. Thank God my son hadnt known were those wontons were.. Top it off still had to pay for a meal i didnt even get to eat DONT GO HERE!!!!!!

My husband and i eat at this restaurant pretty regularly. I will admit that at times some of the food is a little salty for my taste. However, i have NEVER questioned the cleanliness of the facility nor the curtousy of the staff.

I fell on the premises of this restaurant and was actually seen fall by the cashier - when I approached them about liability insurance, I was called a liar several times. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody due to them not having any caring for customers.P.S IF THE GENTLEMAN WHO HELPED ME UP FROM MY FALL...PLEASE CONTACT ME AT 719-651-5221. This happened 10-22-10.

Provided by YP.comThis place is absolutly discusting. I saw that it had a 4 star rating on another web site so I took my family there to eat. Horrible mistake... all there food was cold and nasty, even the dessert's. Our stomach's where turning before we even finished our food, and needles to say we payed for it all night long. The place was also very filthy. The floors where very dirty as where the walls around the tables. The soda machine had so much build up on it the lables where brown and you could barley see what you where getting. When there are spider webs built up in the bathroom everywhere you would think someone would clean. People are very rude and don't even get you your drinks. Way to high priced for a buffet that does nothing for you and let's your plates stay on your table until you leave. Take caution if you eat here you will be very ill aferwards.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! I am in a wheelchair & I bring my Service Dog whom they adore. They never seat us in te back (which happens often with dog). In fact we always sit at our favorite table. The food is Always hot. They do put crab in the rangoon. They have a HUGE Menu choice. They are so gratious and I enjoy eating there monthly.

Don't even call.....they won't deliver.......not advertised correctly........not a reflection of the food....more of the attitude given on the phone........food is fine..........must be a glitch with the site.

The place is always clean as are the staff. The buffet is always well stocked and maintained. Get there at least once a month...little pricey, but worth it.
