Was here for an in/out knee surgery. The staff was remarkably nice and very attentive. Waiting, was no such issue here. It had been a very long time that I had seen such friendly service anywhere. (You just do not see this type of service anymore).

Had to return for a second visit, not long after, for a different injury, (an unfortunate cat bite). Had to stay a couple of nights. The entire staff from the ER, to my hospital room, every staff on every shift was so incredibly friendly, caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. In return which made me feel calm relaxed, comfortable (considering) during my visit. My deepest gratitude goes to everyone there who helped aide in my visit/ recovery. It isn't fair to drop names as I cannot remember them all, so if I missed your name I apologize. However, From the X-ray tech, the many Kayla's, Kendra, Shante, Vickie, the care techs, the kitchen/food service. The whole north wing 4th floor. Thank you! Job well done!
I hope I never have to return to the hospital again, but if I ever need medical assistance again. I will definitely return to memorial north hospital. The hospital beds -not so comfortable, but the staff 5 Star!

Beware bad service...They will throw you in a room & leave you there for hours if you're not dying. If you decided to leave because you are not getting any care & want to go to a facility that actually cares they will charge you and your insurance even if you got no service. They are money hungry! Please please go to Penrose St Francis on powers and Woodmen if you need emergency care or you can go to an urgent care. This emergency room / hospital does not care about their patients they just want their money.

I want to thank the staff at Memorial hospital North. Dr

Fouss, ER and Dr Burns, general

surgeon that took special care of my wife by removing her gall bladder. She looks good and feels much better. God bless you all. Thank you.

This was a disappointing experience. My son was admitted for chest pain. Once a pulmonary embolism was diagnosed, they stopped investigating the chest pain, though it was quite strong and persisted, even with strong drugs. They wanted to discharge him without a gastrointestinal workup, which I insisted upon, whereupon multiple and severe ulcerations were found. Even though he was put on total peripheral nutrition and a morphine pump, once his DRG days were up, they pulled everything and sent him home, disregarding his level of pain and inability to eat. The nursing staff was incompetent. Not noting that the doctor had ordered a basal morphine level, he only had pain relief when he pushed the PCA button. He could not sleep because he would wake up in pain. Then they put in a PIC line, but a lab tech came to draw blood anyway. How incompetent. Donna, a nurse, was RUDE and should not be allowed around patients.

Fantastic staff!

I went to Memorial North a few days ago for a leg injury. The staff were all really nice and had great bedside manner. My treatment was exceptional, but the wait once I was in a room was quite long. Even still the staff made the wait bearable. Very satisfied!

Probably Not Again

Checked into the ER here last night and no one took my injury seriously. Had a herniated disc pinching the sciatic nerve and they diagnosed it "acute pain and sciatica". Out of the 4 nurses coming in and out of the room 3 of them basically laughed at my problem after I told them how much pain I was feeling. No one took me seriously as a patient and the staff forgot to have the DR sign one of my prescriptions. When I called about it today 14 hours later they said no one can assist me with that problem and that I should take my problems elsewhere. I'm very dissapointed in my experience.

terrible experience

My dad was admitted overnight for monitoring during an episode of severe kidneystones. The staff could not be bothered to help or answer questions. The doctor was rude and condesending, making the statement " i know its such an inconvenience being in the hospital." I would never go there again or take any family member there.

mem. north

I read the review of the woman that had her baby @mem. north. My heart goes out to you. I have had opposite care @ penrose, my mother was an LPN #2 for Dr. Brown an Obg/ Gym. the care and attitude were not acceptable. A friend told me.the attitude was.because I was.houseless at the time. that should not even be an.issue you picked.this career path do ur job and stop the B.S... or get out ,most I had encountered were in it for cash and benifits . that's a joke. I.can.say this I was.an.scrub.tech.. seen it all .now at memorial north the care and bedside manor have been great for the most part. I live closer to penrose and memorial, but I choose to make the drive to mem. north.
