We brought our mastiff/lab in for a limp and found out she needed TPLO surgery. I was so upset and scared about the surgery but the staff here made us so very comfortable and I truly knew that they loved our baby as much as we did. The surgery went awesome and she's on her way to a full recovery. I feel like family there and Dr. Bauer is just a gift! His love for pets is amazing and it comes through when you meet him. I would never go anywhere else for Orthopedic problems with any of our pets

Our dog was misdiagnosed as having a torn ligament. We mistakenly thought an expensive, new treatment option like TPLO, would be based on long term studies and standardardized procedures and surgical parts (plates, screws, etc...). TPLO has not been proven more effective than more traditional treatments and will put your dog through additional, unnecessary pain with a longer recovery. TPLO is about $3,000.00, much more than other proven ligament treatments, as is a big money maker for those surgeons performing it. If your dog has a torn ligament that requires surgery, please don't choose this option. Our dog still has the same symptoms he had prior to the surgery and he endured a lot of suffering for no reason.

This is the most pet friendly facility with people who really care about animals. The Doctor was very compassionate and the facility was super clean. My dog wasn't even nervous being there!

Exceptional facility and extraordinary staff! The level of customer service was above and beyond, and the doctor was compassionate and took the time to answer all of my questions. I even got to stay and recover with "Jericho" after her knee surgery, which meant the world to me since I am a nervous pet owner. My dog's surgery was back in March and since then, I have recommended friends and even a neighbor to their great facility. Thank you, Colorado Canine Orthopedics! "Jericho" says thank you too!
