Provided by YP.comAdmitted to Penrose Acute Rehab due to myoclonic movement (uncontrollable jerking in limbs). Since I had previously had a hyperthyroid storm and cardiac arrest, they thought myoclonic movement was due to thyroid issues. I was told to see my endocrinologist upon release from rehab and maybe a neurologist because they didnt have answers. I asked for a neuro and cardio consult while I was in rehab to try and solve this. I was told I would have to take care of that when I was discharged. After 2 weeks in rehab and no answers or consults I came home in a wheel chair. While waiting for approval for Neuro, I googled my symptoms and came up with an issue. When visiting Neuro she confirmed my findings and I was put on anti seizure meds. Symptoms were 80% better in less than a week. Had they given me a neuro consult while in rehab, I would have been physically better in a few days. Because I was denied a consult while waiting in rehab I wasted 2 months trying to get into Neuro, to finally get a diagnosis and medication. If I can Google my symptoms and come up with an answer, why were the doctors at Penrose not able to do that, and why was I denied consults with other specialists to get answers. There is no patient care, patient is our priority at Penrose. Do not go there.

Provided by YP.comI was misdiagnosed 3/16/16 by Penrose when I had a serious spinal injury requiring surgery. It was not "Cellulitis" as Penrose claimed. Cellulitis is a skin disease. A 110% wrong diagnosis; possibly a deadly diagnosis. We tried like crazy to tell Penrose that I rubbed my skin raw with muscle massager. No one listened. What if Penrose was the ONLY hospital in the Springs? With the pain, I would assuredly be dead. I needed serious spinal surgery. I needed; #ACDFSURGERY; #CervicalRadiculopathy at C6 & C7.
I'm in good hands at Memorial! Memorial Hospital Surgical & Trauma Floor.; after surgery, and thanks to Memorial Hospital's Doctors, Nurses, & Staff; most of my left arm pain is gone. ANGELS! Memorial Hospital's angels; Dr. John O'Keefe, Dr Todd P. Thompson, Dr Gregory Tietz, and Dr. Michael McKisic. THANK YOU ALL! THEY TRULY CARE!

Provided by YPmobileTwo years ago I could not say PSF was an excellent choice when having to visit the ER. In fact, early this year they did not have the caring, efficient and personable staff we encountered this evening at their ER. Jam packed busy, total chaos hitting them from every direction and yet they treated my son with above average consideration; smooth, well handled and friendly. Thank you to the nurses and medical team there for providing such comfort to us during a stressful time.
