Provided by YP.comI took my son and his friend for a pita wrap, after the bars closed 3/6/09, and our son got food poisoning, so badly, that he had to phone another friend to take him to the base hospital. They blood tested him and found, severe food poisoning, from bad mayonaise, and extreme dehydration, from all of the vomiting. He was put on i.v. fluids, for several hours, and still had to be driven back, and checked on for several days.
I understand that accidents can and will happen, but the Pita Wrap, not only denied this ever happened, they didn't believe me, when I told them that, even when a container, is chilled from underneath.., when left out, at sandwich places, bacteria can and does form, (It looks clear or transparent),on top, a thin layer, that gets warm...the only people, who would then be contaminated, is the ones, who got the top layer, on their food.
She then proceeded to tell me they had a complaint box, for such occurences, which made me pause....why need a complaint box, if this supposedly NEVER happens??? Just F.Y.I., he'll probably go back, accidents happen...but I wouldn't, or at least will Never allow unrefrigerated mayo, on my food, in future.
