REI is by far the most extensive recreational outdoorsmen store in Colorado Springs-even out beating Mountain Chalet downtown. From the occasional hiker, biker, climber, runner or camper REI has you covered. And if REI doesn't carry that exact one unique item you're looking for (that can only be found online) REI will do special orders for you! REI is a cross between a small town "Ma & Pa shop" customer service feel trapped within a large corporate chain store-and that dichotomy could not be easy to accomplish-is the reason they are the best. The store is always clean and organized. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, which makes it easy for the beginners and experienced alike to find what they are looking for with ease. If you enjoy the outdoors and haven't stepped into an REI store yet, you might what to check them out.
