I was looking to get something welded on my vehicle an came across ricks handyman and welding services.. after contacting them via text sending pictures of what I was interested in getting done they give me a quote, they come out to collect down payment which was to show "commitment to protect". They then contact me the following day informing me that the price was going to increase due to cost of steel material prices "skyrocketing" they tell me that if I wanted to still get the job done it was going to be 75$ more on top of what they had already contracted with me (mind you that already collected the down payment and wrote me up an invoice on the original deal) I agree to pay the additional 75$ to continue moving forward. They contacted me the following day stating that the steel material at the manufacturer was backed up and couldn't get it until a couple days.. they then contacted me the following day stating that the additional 75$ was still not going to be enough .. after trying to increase the price for the second time I told them that I couldn't afford to pay anything more at the moment, an would consider picking up the project at a later time.. they agreed to bring me back the down payment that they took from me and I have gotten nothing but excuses as to why they can't make it.. I have EVERYTHING in text messages and invoices as proof that they collected the down payment.. they have been very unprofessional,rude, and disrespectful by using foul language in text and over the phone.. they took money from me and never came back as far as I know that is considered theft.. all I want is the money that legally belongs to me without having to go through any more trouble..
