Selling/buying experience

I have been dealing with Ross Auction and buying items over the last two years. I have been very satisfied with the staff and basically how the operation is run. I think they are fair and honest. Those individuals not satisfied with their experience in my opinion have expectations too high.

Amazing Professionalism and Customer Service

I had a large collection of NASCAR memorabilia that I knew could find a good home and be used, I had inquired all over town looking for help in selling these items. I was unsuccessful finding anywhere to help me, even had no luck on E-bay, until I came across Ross Auction. I took the items in and had no expectations on what they might bring in an auction setting. They were extremely helpful, kind, and explained the process thoroughly. The items sold a short 2 weeks later and I was able to make more money then I had ever imagined. I picked up my check a week later and have been back since to see other items they were selling. I have purchased a gun from them in the weeks following. All in all, this company was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and had a gentle way of caring for me as a consignor and buyer. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the future.

this place is a rip!

I dropped off four pieces, value at approx. 250.00, I called and said where is my money, they say your items didn't sell for squat, we get it all, sucks to be you.. better to give your items to charity, at least you get a receipt

Great Expectations

My late father's neighbors told me about Ross Auction when I traveled here to take care of his house. I spent hours wondering how I was going to do it all. I called, spoke to Lisa and she arranged for Bill Neal to come by and do a walk through. Walking through the house, Bill patiently pointed out items that he believed would do well at auction, setting realistic expectations as well. I thought this to be an impersonal experience, however the more I listened to Bill’s experiences with estate sales, the less anxiety I felt about the process. Also Ross Auction could also help me clean up his house in preparation for its imminent sale. A truck and two fellows came along a few days later to pick up all the items. Then again later in the day to clean out the house for me. Looking back now I don’t know how else I could have managed this very emotional time. Thanks to Bill and the Ross Auction Family for certainly doing their part in making this easier on me. I would recommend them anytime.

Ross Auction - Didn't Disappoint

Went to Ross Auction last Saturday to see what they had for sale. It had been a while, but the place was full of great items and as it turns out good deals as well. Was looking for some furniture and appliances. Got out bid on the furniture, but the appliances I won. It was just as exciting as I remember it . Proud owner of 2 working appliances for my home. Thank you Ross Auction Family -its just as like I remember.

They Just Dont Get It !

I have done business with Ross Auction for over 20 years. I Have bought ,and sold, hundreds of thousands of dollars with this company. After so many years of running the auction, Bill and Paula Neal still just dont know how to deal with their customers. They are so lacking in class, manners, people skills, and the judgment to know what, and who, make their business a success. THEIR CUSTOMERS ! Without the loyal customers that have graced the doors of Ross Auction for so many years, there would be no Ross Auction. With the economy the way it is right now, you would think Bill and Paula would appreciate the loyalty that their customers have shown to them in the past. The success of Ross Auction is not only in the hands of Bill and Paula Neal, But in the hands of the loyal customers who seem to have lost their importance. As a business owner myself, I can tell you from experience that you have to run a business with some flexibility. You have to treat your customers with respect !

Ross Auction owner Bill Neal buyrs broken goods from

Techfor Less Llc an electronics retailer / Moduslink Global Solutions Inc. “sells Ross Auction/Bill Neal in Colorado Springs anything and everything that comes back from Sears Purchaseprotect and A New Business Solution that is broken returned items from Radio ShackThey know the stuff does not work and that they are returns. They also leave the nams /addresses of the original owners on the boxes! Bill auction them off in large boxes. Knowing that the ides are broken and trash. People are being scammed. Tech is owned by Moduslink Global Solutions Inc. “Tech for Less is an innovative business that will expand the value ModusLink brings to clients in the aftermarket supply chain,” And scam the everyday person while they make money on us. This is a crime and must be reported. They are selling their trash to save money to dispose it in the landfills. So the everyday consumer has to do it. Stand up and speak up if this has happened to you.

Shocking return on Madame Alexander dolls.

After the new owners took over Ross Auction, I took two Tyroleon "round the world" Madame Alexander dolls, in pristine condition, from the '60's, to be auctioned. I'd been advised their value was between $80 and $100 each. At Ross Auction, they sold TWO for $5.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's the last time I took anything there to be auctioned, though I'd been a customer of Ross Auction for 35 hears!

unbelievably low return

The people who picked up my mother's estate items were courteous, and there was a $75 fee associated with that. After a few weeks, I called because they don't call you...you have to call them to see if your items sold...and discovered that my mother's antique chests, elegant expensive couches, upholstered furniture, solid maple dressers, antique china lamps, and more, sold for such a paltry amount I realized I could have done better with a yard sale! Ross takes 30% of the earnings but I have to believe they do nothing to market quality items, otherwise how could such expensive items bring in so little? To add insult to injury, I learned unsold items are put in the GARBAGE! They are not donated anywhere, they are treated as rubbish. Very disappointing.I'm guessing this is the place to BUY but not to SELL.

Not worth the trouble

If you are wanting to buy things cheap...then go here.If you are wanting to sell your items go someplace else. The owners took over 12 years ago and have no experience whatsoever except a interior design degree. Your grandmothers antique buffett table will be treated the same as Joe Blow's 10 year old T.V. and will probably sell for the same amount of money. Take your precious items to a better place and take your junk here. The guys in the truck were very nice and considerate with packing my furniture but when I went there the day of the auction, those people couldn't care less about my memories.

Don't Toss it Ross It - Appropriate for an auction company that treats consignments like trash

Don't Toss it Ross It - Appropriate for an auction company that treats consignments like they are trash. I am from the Midwest and very familiar with the auction process. When my mom passed away I did what one does in the Midwest...call the local auction company to sell the items we could not keep. After getting a ridiculous check I told my parent's neighbors of my disappointment and they told me I was mislead believing these people had done this auction since 1921. The fact is they bought an old Colorado Springs company and had no experience AT ALL with selling estate items, used furniture, antiques or anything else for that matter. When the Ross family came up with this slogan they were not expecting to get trash consigned and they didn't intend to treat family property as trash. Things have obviously changed at Ross Auction. Great place to buy for resale, worst place to sell! If this is the best in town donate to Goodwill and take the deduction!

It was a horrible decision to use this company!

My Dad's antiques were treated the same as the junk in the boxes from peoples garage sale left overs which made up most of the auction where my Dad's items were "Sold"
