For the first time in my life, I am an Executor of an estate. I needed K-1 forms for my siblings and my tax returns. A Tax Agency on the north end of Colorado Springs said that they could help immediately. I brought them all forms requested. After 2 weeks of silence, they demanded the form giving the estate a tax number, even though this ID number was already in use on the 1099s I had provided! The original form granting the ID from the IRS was shredded/unavailable. They wouldn't budge on the Estate K1s without it... Getting the runaround and time running short, I contacted Chris Stark. With the correct ID number already in use, the form granting it was indeed, not needed. Chris Stark sensed my urgency on behalf of my siblings and went straight to work! In 5 days, I had all that I needed for siblings and me to file our individual returns! Chris Stark knew what to do, and zoomed to get it done, all for a new Customer! Knowledgeable, intelligent, fast and EMPATHETIC. Where do we find such customer care these days? Thank you Chris Stark! Yes, I would recommend Stark Tax Services.

I had a very poor experience. He entered my social security number incorrectly on the return, missed a deadline to submit paperwork to the IRS and blamed me when I asked him to correct his mistakes. I ultimately gave up and the whole thing ended up costing me several hundred dollars more than what Chris calculated when the return was submitted the first time.

I don't enjoy writing a negative review but Chris doesn't mind writing one even when he's not a customer just to damage the reputation of a competitor. He gave a negative one star Google review to my now CPA, Tax Preparation Service and Bookkeeper Sikora CPA who has, unlike Chris done an absolutely wonderful job for me and at a very reasonable price. In Chris's review of Sikora CPA, he didn't identify himself as a competitor. He purposely attempted to damage Sikora's reputation in order to make himself look better. You can't get much lower than that in business.

I didn't write a review after my poor experience with Chris. Life is too short and he isn't worth my time. However, I won't stand by and watch him purposely hurt someone else. Sikora didn't respond to Chris's unethical review but someone needs to stand up for them and I just did.

My recommendation is to stay away from Stark Tax Services. If you do consider using Stark, take a look at his office and at him. What you see is a reflection of the quality of tax preparation work you can expect.

We used Stark Tax Services for 7 years, and were always pleased until this year. We hired the company to amend our 2015 return based on an audit from the IRS. The day that Mr. Stark called to request payment and inform us that he'd only saved us $100 from what the IRS was indicating that we owed, my husband stated that he wanted to discuss it with me and we would call him back. He immediately started harassing us with texts and emails demanding payment and threatening to send our accounts to collections. He gave us a 3 day deadline to remit payment or else he would take legal action. At this point, we hadn't even received an invoice. Requests to see the work that had been done were denied, and Mr. Stark refused to answer my questions, stating that he would not "repeat himself" as he had already reported the requested information to my husband. I have several email communications from Mr. Stark in which he was very condescending toward me. Mr. Stark may know how to prepare tax returns, but he is sorely lacking in the area of customer service and courtesy. My advice is to take your taxes to an actual CPA who cares about the customer, and not just his bottom line.

I had not sent in the last six years worth of tax's because every other tax service i had talked to had told me i would end up paying aprox 8 to 10 thousand for my back business tax's.It scared me so much i was thinking of relocating to Mexico, LOL Mr. Stark found over twenty thousand in refunds for us, They are very professional, thorough, freindly and fast, I do, and will continue to recomend this company to all my freinds, family or anyone who ask's me if i know a great tax service. I got behind on filing my yearly 1040 IRS tax form because I thought I did not have the money to pay what I thought was a tax bill, for the years I did not file. I went to Stark Tax Services and thought I would be paying the IRS for many years to come. Man, was I wrong! Stark Tax Services found LEGAL tax deductions that caused me to end up with a REFUND instead! I am not sure if they can do this for everyone, but they sure turned my world around!
