Provided by YP.comI picked this shop for the William S review, but my experience was far-far different. The guy at the counter must have been in a bad mood. I explained my problem and what I THOUGHT was the culprit. Mistake #1. At the end of the day, they could not duplicate the jerking transmission problem but went ahead with swapping out what I thought was the culprit. Well, as soon as pulled out of the shop, my LOW OIL light came on. I turned the truck around. The mechanic that worked my truck saw me coming and approached me. I told him what was happening, and his quote was “You got a gushing oil leak.” OMG! I just changed my oil
Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact vehicle. But this problem is becoming more evident every day. Todays transmissions are becoming more and more technical every day. People jump on the internet and find all kinds of crazy answers to problems, and they are terribly inaccurate. People come into my shop with some wild ideas that we can repair things that just aren't possible. It becomes irritating when they argue with me about it, and I know from 31 years experience they are wrong. Now, to establish something, we do not work on engines. No oil changes, no brakes, no tune ups. We do not touch anyone's drain plugs, oil filters or other components. We don't work on engine oil leaks. We are strictly a transmission shop. We specialize. If it's an engine problem, we refer it to someone else. We didn't touch his drain plug, we didn't spray oil on his car, we just don't do any of that. What the oil on the bottom is, I have no clue. But I also didn't try and sell him a repair on it either. As far as the jerking, that is probably an engine performance issue. Most of them are. And again, I don't work on engines. I will not manufacture a transmission problem just to make money. I also will not massage your ego if you think you know lots more than I do. We work hard to be the best at what we do, and we are. Sorry Charlie, get off your high horse and accept life as a reality, and if you listen carefully, you may just learn something. Sincerely, Don Callender Owner

We brought my Mercury Mountaineer here to have them repair the transmission. We have had problems in the past going through AAMCO with previous cars so we will never go to AAMCO ever again. We did research and found this place. They are a little hard to find but it's worth it. They were honest and didn't try to convince us to fix more than needed to be fixed. They gave us a quote and stuck to it. They fixed my transmission and even though the rear end needed fixed as well they didn't push us to get it fixed and completely understood when we said we couldn't afford to get the rear end repaired at the time. They informed us of what they found that needed to be fixed and only fixed what we wanted. My car runs like a dream now! I took it back in after 200 miles so they could check to make sure the tranny was keeping up well and it was. They are friendly there too! It's a good thing to have is a good mechanic that is trustworthy and won't overcharge or try to trick you into fixing other things that aren't necessary. We will continue to bring our vehicles here and we highly recommend them!

Provided by YP.comThe owner Don really took care of me. Rather than blow smoke and rip me off like so many other shops, he told me exactly what my particular vehicle needed and was right on the money with both the cost and parts needed-I was going to get extra parts and he told me it would be a waste of money, even though he would have made more profit installing them They even fixed a problem with my transfer case for free since i'm a veteran. I have never been more satisfied with the service from any other shop, (and i've been to every shop in town several times each with all the custom mods on my vehicle) so that's saying something.

I took my 2005 Dodge Neon to a chain repair shop after it started making a growling noise when I accelerated. This shop recommended a complete replacement of my transmission (well over $3000 in repairs). Luckily for me the mechanic who looked at my car admitted that he wasn’t even sure the problem was my transmission and suggested that I see Don at Transmission Clinic. It was late on a Friday afternoon, but I was told to bring the car over anyway. Within a block of driving my car Don recognized the problem, a broken engine mount. He took the time to show me the problem and ordered the part immediately. He was able to do the repair that afternoon for less than $100.

I was on leave from Ft. Hood, TX. when my transmission on my F350 SD went out. I researced transmission repair shops in the Colorado Springs area and had two referals from Ford Diesel shops to the Transmission Clinic. I checked with the BBB and found that they"ve had a BBB rating of A+ with zero complaints in the last 36 months. (Being a track vehicle mechanic in the Army) After speaking with the owner Don, I knew right away that he is very knowlegeable and a techniqual expert in his trade. Don can and does explain the troubleshooting, faults, upgrades, and repairs to his customers in a very understandable way. He stays personally involved in the daily operations of his shop and takes pride in doing the best job possiable. As long as he can get the parts. He can and does make repairs to any transmission there is. Inclueding 20's vintage vehicles. Don was very helpful working with my leave situation to get me back on the road to return to Ft. Hood. I recommend the Transmission Clinic f
