In Feb.2012, I brought my motorhome to Mike Thompson RV in Colton for a insurance claim. My insurance adjuster from Geico recommnded their work. It was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life. In July 2013, I noticed a 3-4' crack across the area where the repair was done. I brought my RV back in and talked to my original service writer, Terry. He said they did not have the workorder anymore since it was done over a year ago. He said it was sent to their office in Sante Fe Springs. Terry told me he would talk to the service manager and call me back and let me know if they would repair the crack. He called me back the next day and left a message on my voicemail. I played the voicemail which indicated they could not repair it because it was outside their 90 day warranty. I could not believe they did over $5,000 worth of body repair and only would stand behind their work for 90 days. I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau and the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and file a formal complaint for faulty workmanship. Do not take RV to Mike Thompson. I wish I would have known they only had a 90 day Warranty.

After many months of on-line shopping and many weeks of going to look at RV's on sales lots, we happened upon Mike Thompson in Colton after specificaly driving out there to visit their neighbor next door (we didn't realize the two were right next door), we left the other lot after looking at a few trailers and no sales person in site to ask questions (they apparently were all in Pomona at an RV show - bad planning if you ask me). We drove out and my husband asked if I wanted to go to Mike Thompson literally right next store, I said "not really" (after all the on-line research I thought their prices were higher than everyone else when they actually listed the prices), well the husband said we may as well see what they have since we are here, "fine" I say. We drive on to the lot, park the car and I start on down the first aisle and my husband was little farther back. We knew the floorplan and size we wanted so I was looking for those models. And then.....Here comes the sales guy approaching my husband and I'm thinking great, how do we get rid of this guy. I stopped to let them catch up and the salesperson was very friendly and asked if he could help, etc. We told him what we were looking for and he takes us to the first one which was exactly what we wanted but too long (it was a 31 box and we were looking for 26-28), I told him we're on the right track it's definitely the floor model we want so on to the next. We get to the next one and it was ok but the bathroom was way too small for us. The next one was ok and I forget why I didn't like it. At this point our salesperson asked if he could show us one on promotion, not the model we want but in our size and price range, we walk over and pop my head in say no, we want the RLS floor model. He then takes us to a brand new Keystone Cougar and just asks me take a look at the floor plan and let me know if I like it. I walk in and say I love it, it's perfect, how much, he turns and says $42,000 and I'm like ummmmmm not in our price range, why are you showing me this? Way out of my price range, he smiles and says we just got a trade in this exact floor model and decor, I just wanted to make sure you like it before we go over to look at the used onoe (2012). We walk into the 2012 trade in and my husband and I look at each other and it was a done deal. So far so good, our salesperson Walter Huhn was awesome. On to the sales trailer to work out the deal. Randall the finance guy was great as well, got us the financing we wanted at a better rate than our credit union. We made our appt to do our walk through for the next Saturday and patiently waited all week. We arrived to our appt early, our salesperson Walter was there to greet us and take us over the service trailer, we waited about 10-15 minutes for the next service guy to be available to do our walk through. Tom was our service guy and did a thorough job of showing us how everything works, we noticed a few things missing, we made the notes and when we were done in finance finalizing all the paperwork our trailer was ready to take home, missing parts and everything. Randall in finance hooked us up with some great vacation packages and we can't wait to try them out. We got hooked up and pulled away from a great dealer. We were treated right from the time we stepped on the lot to the time we pulled the trailer off of it. We had one little problem, one of the roof vents was left open and we lost it on the way home (this wasn't our first trailer and we accept the blame for not checking to make sure everything was closed before pulling away, we didn't bother contacting them about it). At any rate, a big THANK YOU to Walter, Randall and Tom for all of your help and professionalism. This was a big purchase for us that we planned a very long time for and you all made it happen for us with little fuss. We will definitely return when it comes time to upgrade or downsize.
