Provided by YP.comHow to SCAM a puppy lover ALERT - "Charm City Puppies" is their most current beard.
Step 1 show beautiful stock photos of "their" puppies and mark some as "sold", to make you think you should act fast.
Step 2. Side step all but most basic questions by acting more concerned about the kind of home YOU the buyer would give THEIR puppy.
Step 3. Send a few extra cute stock photos of the puppy buyer is most interested in.
Step 4. Have a glowing website showing an actual shop, glowing testimonials, and detailed information. However, links to shipping policies take you to disclaimers, etc but no real shipping info.
Step 5. Get you to wire the purchase price and respond with a promise that puppy will be in your arms by 4 pm the next day, along with a promise that shipping information will be provided first thing in the morning.
Step 6. Send an email from the "shipper" saying due to weather conditions a special crate must be used and another amount even more than the purchase price must be paid before shipping as a deposit, but promise the buyer they will be refunded 90% of that in delivery* Remember that. That's important information.
Step 7. Contact buyer saying there is a delay because insurance is needed (even more than the crate - we are now 3x the purchase price in).
Step 8. NO PUPPY is delivered. So no refund is necessary. according to their policy.

Provided by YP.comI see reviews that their pup was sick when they $ it. I will have to say I $ 2 pups from Charm City they did experience some coughng after my purchase. However, there's no place that ur going 2 buy a pup that has various breeds & types of dogs & not have a poss. of a kennel cough I will say that Charm City pd for my pups to be seen by a vet wkly for 7 wks & be on antibiotics until they were better. But they also pd for the treatment of my other 2 dogs pd for the antibiotics I'm happy & I would purchase again from Charm City . Their facility is clean very well maintained the puppies are clean & vetted. I suggest if u want a perfect pup that u not purchase 1 cuz no matter where u $ a pup from a pound of private breeder home or from a place such as Charm City or a puppy mill expect ur puppy get Sick it's all a part of being a mom of a puppy. I give them 5 stars for service experience, & for having taking responsibility for the pups & for my 2 My dogs r happy wonderful 10 mth old pups

Provided by YP.comYou need to know that we bought Cooper and upon having him inspected again two days after purchase by the Veterinarian has a severe infection, pneumonia, kennel cough and giardia!!!! which is going to require weeks of medication. The cause??? Most likely terrible kennel conditions from the breeder. You know there is a large nation wide lawsuit against the breeder you so proudly support? Pictures of the living conditions are atrocious. I can't believe you lie to your customers. I plan on filing a complaint and leaving a review so others are aware of what they are unknowingly supporting. Shame on you

Provided by YP.comI purchased a puppy Sep 2015 and he has been sick since. I bought the same food he ate in the store, have a clean home, and give him much time and attention. Sadly, we have to work with the vet identified or Charm City won't pay to help the dog get better. Do not buy a dog from Charm City. Poor Dogs.

Provided by YPmobileThe employees definitely saw that the puppies were walking around in urine and feces. They didn't do anything until we pointed it out and then they got an attitude. One of the dogs had a bad cough. Overall a bad environment and not a clean place for the dogs. My heart was broken seeing them step in their own mess and not enough space for them in each little cage, there was too many puppies in each cage.

Provided by YP.comI was sold an "AKC certified French Bulldog". What I received was an AKC registered dog which is actually Frenchton. Charm City tries to trick customers into thinking the dogs are AKC certified when in fact they are just registered with AKC (Which any dog can be. Purebred or not....it basically means nothing). I was told the dog I bought was a purebred French Bulldog, when in fact, it is a mix between a french Bulldog and a Boston terrier. I paid $3500 for a dog that in reality only retails for $600. On top of that, I am stuck with a dog I didn't want (The dog I received also doesn't have the same personality traits of the dog I wanted), and that I have spent close to $1000 on already since I purchased it. It is pathetic that Charm City tricks people into buying dogs they knowingly know aren't purebred, effectively, sticking you with a dog (for 12 years) that doesn't align with your desired personality traits. Additionally, they keep the dogs trapped in cribs and the dogs pee in the cribs, which makes them much harder to house break.

Provided by YP.comWe bought our puppy at Charm City on Saturday, May 31, and by the following day less than 24 hours later we had to take it to an Emergency Hospital where she was diagnosed with PNEUMONIA. The manager said they would pay for everything (over $2,000 in vet bills), but now they are referring us to their lawyer. We have a puppy that is dying, and we're out close to $4,000 so far between the dog and the hospitalization. WATCH OUT.
