I know that the Ronald McDonald House helps thousands of families when in need, but I have to say, "The one in Columbia, Missouri has turned us down twice." The only two times we asked for help. The first time, we were all set up. I called, made the arrangements and was all set. My daughter was having some pretty serious health issues. We had car trouble on the way up so we got in pretty late. We finally arrived and they turned us away, leaving us to sleep in the car, in the parking lot. The second time we didn't have what was needed for our hotel, so again we turned to the Ronald McDonald House. They told us we weren't in the system and once again, turned us away. If it hadn't been for the Social Worker at the Children's Hospital, we would again, have been left out in the cold.
