I cannot stress enough how amazing my experience was. This was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous. The moment I walked through the doors I was immediately greeted and given their full attention. They walked me through the entire process and the shop to reduce my nerves and made the entire process completely stress free. Shane was so professional and so patient. I spent a little while changing locations until I was pleased and he did not rush me or get impatient. He was very efficient and really seemed to know what he was doing. He was hilarious and had a super calming personality. The entire shop just has a good feel to it. I highly recommend coming here, I will not go anywhere else after this visit.

Got some tattoos with my girlfriend yesterday for my birthday by Adam. I've heard it's very difficult to make straight lines, but Adam made it look really easy. The cleanliness of this shop is amazing. He didn't just copy and paste the pictures we wanted, he drew them up by hand and put his own touch to it to make it even better. Stay away from inner bicep and calves if you can help it or unless you aren't a baby.

Not knowing anyone in the sc area for tattoos I did some research, I found Shane's style to be quite tasteful, artistic, beautiful lines, great color, so I booked an appt and I have been seeing him ever since, I think 5-6 sessions now.. And I have another in may! Can't wait to get back in Shane's chair, he is a hard worker, a nice guy, he's won countless awards, he works quick yet exquisite!! Do not delay, book with Shane - he is a must have tattoo artist if you want top notch work - this is your man!

I went to Animated Canvas to get my first tattoo ever. Going in I was a little nervous and uncertain exactly how I wanted it to look, but Mike was amazing and worked with me. He was patient and understanding and I greatly appreciate it. Everything was extremely clean and sterile as well. My mom went with me and said she was amazed at how much caution they took and how none of the places where she got her other two tattoos were that way. I was very impressed and had a great first experience! Thanks so much for everything Mike!!!

I have traveled across the country to get my tattoo's from Spyder....I see no end in sight.

I recommend this place anytime someone mentions wanting to get a tattoo or compliments my tattoo. You cannot go wrong here, every tattoo artist is fantastic and they each have their own specialty. The place is very clean, they have reasonable prices and I really appreciated the time they took to go back and revise my design countless times until I was totally happy with it. (Not at all that they weren't getting it right the first time...I went in with a bunch of pictures and ideas and they were able to come up with something that portrayed exactly what I would have drawn, if I could draw at all!)

Ive gotten 2 tattoos so far from these guys, the last one just a few weeks ago by Spyder, which turned out beautifully. I cannot say enough good things about their work, very professional, good atmosphere, will definitely be going back there to get more tats, I trust them completely. Highly recommend Animated Canvas!

Shane did a cover-up for me. He was very professional and everything was very clean. No tattoo artist can make it completely painless, but Shane did about the best I could imagine. He stuck to his original price, even though it ended up taking a bit longer than expected. I appreciated that. The artwork is great and I'm very happy with my tattoo.

I have two tattoos done by Spyder at Animated Canvas, and have been super pleased by the quality of artwork, professional manner in which I was treated (sterilized instruments, timeliness, instructions for aftercare, etc.), and the general good humor of all the guys working there. My friend got a huge, 4 hour tattoo from Shane, and she was also extremely happy with the service and quality. I highly recommend this establishment for your next tat.

Got my first tattoo by Shane here! LOVE IT! I have had it since the spring. it was a drawing of mine that he turned into a beautiful piece of work! I wouldnt change a thing (except add more of course!!) I am slowly saving up the money but already have had my idea in mine since i left there last! now its just a matter of getting in the chair ASAP!
