Dr. Gunter is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. He completed his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He then completed an internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a neurological surgery residency at the University of Tennessee College of Health Sciences in Memphis. He also achieved basic and Perfexion™ Gamma Knife® certification. He is currently an international faculty trainer for two cervical disc replacement devices and is involved in FDA clinical trials. With more than 20 years of neurosurgical experience, Dr. Gunter is highly skilled to provide comprehensive care for disorders of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves. He is a International teaching faulty for cervical disc replacement. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

One of the worst doctors I have been to, blamed me for getting hurt at work. "Any 62 year old woman should be able to lift a gas range by herself". Really!
