Provided by YP.comAfter doing my due diligence of research to find a grooming service with 4-5 stars I took my sweet girl to Camp Bow Wow in Columbia to be groomed. What I thought was going to be a great experience based off other reviews turned into a nightmare for my poor dog. When I got her home I noticed how uncomfortable she seemed, she kept licking herself in places she doesn't ever lick in so I checked her skin out and noticed she had multiple burn marks all over her body. Her vulva was severely burned to the point she yelped when she peed. Both ears were cut and burned inside and she had 2 large linear burns on the side of her face that the groomer hid by keeping her hair longer there. I took my dog to the vets right away to get her looked at and they confirmed she was burned by the clippers. They took measurements, pictures, and documented the injuries. I called Frank the owner of Camp Bow Wow and boy was he nasty. He denied the whole thing and told me the wounds were self inflicted by my dog. I ended up getting a lawyer involved only to find out animals have no rights in SC and corporate companies like Camp Bow Wow can basically get away with abusing animals. I hope by telling my story I can save a dog from getting abused by Frank and his staff.

Provided by YP.comThis is the BEST place to bring your dog!
I'm a student and I make a good effort to try and budget in my golden retriever (Inu) to go to day camp. He comes back so tired and happy from his adventures at Camp.
I've never needed to kennel him, however I would pick Camp Bow Wow before having a friend keep him for a weekend b/c the prices are very affordable and he has so many dog friends to play with.
The staff is top-notch! From the friendly front desk staff that some how remember all these pet names, to the people that hang out with the dogs and give them attention too.
Try Camp Bow Wow! For the same price (if not less) to have your dog kenneled at your vets office, you can bring them to camp where they will play and have lots of fun! Not trapped in a crate until you return.

Provided by YP.comMy dog loves going to Camp Bow Wow. He can play with the other dogs during the day instead of being stuck in a crate. I have used the overnight boarding and they are great. They allow you to drop your dog off in the morning for doggie day care for no extra charge. They also let you bring a dog toy or treat when boarding. The hours are really convenient (Sunday afternoon pickup) and they don't charge extra for picking up your dog later in the afternoon. The webcams are great - it made me a lot less nervous the first time I dropped my dog off for boarding knowing that I could check up on him! They also have packages that make it a little less expensive.

Provided by YP.comI would highly recommended Camp Bow Wow, it's the only place I'll board my dog. The staff are very friendly, and I have no worries about leaving my dog for the day or overnight. Whenever I bring my dog home, he's so exhausted from all the fun he had. He can't wait to go to Camp again!

Provided by YP.comCamp Bow Wow in Columbia has the feel of a small family business. The owners are so friendly and their staff is too. I truly feel that my dog is taken care of and loved while he is there at camp. We've gotten to the point where we can't say "Camp Bow Wow" in a sentence without our dog jumping up and down with excitement. It's' a great feeling to know that your dog is in great hands while you are out of town!

Provided by YP.comI absolutely love Camp Bow Wow! All of the employees are so nice and I feel very comfortable leaving my dog with them! The facility is clean and the staff are very caring! When life keeps me out of the house for hours at a time, I appreciate that I can take my little one to them and know that she can run and play all day long. I have also received some good advice form them along with recipes for treats! Thank you Camp Bow Wow for helping me take care of my little one!

Provided by YP.comOver the years, I have been like Goldilocks trying to find just the right fit for a place to board our dogs. We have been to more places than I can count. This is our third Labrador retriever and, as most pet owners know, labs need space, love and attention...not just a cage and feeding. Camp Bow Wow is the most wonderful haven for a dog. The facilities, the web cam (view your pooch via internet while you are away), the playtime with other dogs, all make Camp Bow Wow the best boarding facility in the City of Columbia.
