Provided by YP.comThey have been my property manager for 5+ years. Have been helpful in finding tenants. My only major complaint is the sometimes slow response to owner requests and the high staff turnover. Billy himself has always been helpful.

Provided by YP.comI have been renting from them for over a year now. I have been very impressed by how quick they are to repair things. We are in an older house and everytime we have a problem they have someone out quickly to take care of it. I have had nothing but a good experience. They actually answer the phone or call you back quickly.

Provided by YP.comSEEK RENTALS ELSEWHERE! What seemed like a great company was really just a bunch of scam artists. The place was infested with bugs, there were bums constantly loitering outside, the "non smoking" apartment had clearly been chain smoked in, and Cantey cared about none of this. I tried to talk to Billy and other employees there multiple times but there was no use. Save yourself the headache, and go elsewhere.

DON"T BOTHER WITH THEM. From the start, I must say "hindsight" is 20/20. It started out okay, I had to work around the showing agents schedule, but it worked...I needed a place to stay and fast. Once I signed the lease, they were absent!!! They are hard to work with and they are "rude". Ignorance is crazy, b/c no one in the office ever remembers telling you anything!
I am still waiting to get repairs done, and I have been in my rental for over 6 months. I am NOT renewing...
I will definetly use Prime Financial, until I can purchase my own...

Provided by YP.comTHE WORST!!! I wish I could give them less than one star. They are rude, difficult, and not helpful at all. Their staff is crappy and the owner seems to think he is too good to deal with people. I am about to get my lease over with now, and I wish I had kept a list of every time they were downright rude to my roommate and me. (I will say that there is one nice person there, but she wasn't so nice to begin with. Must have turned over a new leaf in the past few months.)
When I first moved in, the place was dirty. Not like a normal dirty, but a really gross dirty. I had to ask them repeatedly to fix the gate to the backyard before I would agree to sign the lease because I have a dog, and didn't want her to get out. They have stupid working hours to be a "rental company." I work 9 to 5, like most of the people in the world. They are not flexible at all, and act like every time they do ANYTHING for you that it is a favor. Guess what? I don't pay you money for you to be a total prick.
They require you to replace every light bulb before you leave, which I've done, but only a few actually worked when I moved in. I haven't done my final walk through, but I will not allow them to not have me present. They are too shady to trust, and I wish I had known that before I moved in.
Don't get me wrong... I loved the place I rented, but anytime I had to deal with Cantey was/is a nightmare. The move in and move out process has proven to be a headache, to put it extremely lightly. Every time I speak with them, I'm already on the defense because I don't trust them to offer any decent customer service, only snide rudeness.
Long story short, go with someone else. Don't allow these people to have a dime of your cash. If I could sum Cantey and Company up in 3 words: shady, rude, horrible.

Provided by YP.comI used Cantey&Co. as my rental agency last year, and it was nothing short of miserable. At the beginning of the year I was promised repairs to the house which were never looked at. They never helped with any problems that arose, including it taking me over a month to get the air conditioning fixed in the middle of July.. You can imagine... I called day after day and finally after about 3 weeks I had an employee admit that they had "dropped the ball". Also they violated their own lease, which states there must be a 24 hour notice period before visiting the property.. I was given a 2 hour notice at 11 a.m. Furthermore, at the end of the year we left the house in better condition than it had been originally, and they still used a loophole in the "additional notes" section of our lease to withhold our $1000 security deposit. I would encourage anyone considering Cantey to think otherwise and not make the same mistake I made.
