Rooms to Go in Columbia was one of the worst furniture experiences of my life. They told us about this "awesome" program that doesn't require you to have any credit history. This was perfect for us, so we were immediately interested. I asked we'll how much is the interest rate, to which he replied "oh we don't have interest. We are not a financial institution so we cannot charge interest". I knew this was fishy but my mom had just told me how she had an interest free program with rooms to go, so I thought maybe its legit. He didn't provide us any other options, even though I have great credit. He said I would have to put $250 down that day to place the order, which I did. Fast forward a month, we've had our couch for 3 weeks now and I go to make my first payment of $150.00. Mind you, I've already put $250 towards this $1,100 couch. So I go t make my first payment and instead of paying the minimum of $150.00 , I paid $400.00. So lets re-cap - I've put $650 into this couch. I should only owe like $500 more dollars because they "don't have interest". So I ask "could you tell me what my balance is now"to which he replies "$1,094". I was floored. How could that be possible? I'll tell you how. The initial $250, that did not go toward the couch. That went towards the LEASING FEE for my couch for the month I had it before my first payment was due. When he said leasing fee, I immediately was confused because we bought the couch, we weren't renting. So I called rooms to go customer service and they said oh you purchased this through our "RAC program" I asked what that was and they said it is a subsidiary of rent a center. Long story short I paid the entire couch off that day so that they couldn't steal anymore of my money.



DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH ROOMS TO GO EVER!!!!

I recently purchased some furniture from rooms to go on harbison blvd. First they were over 4 hours late delivering the furniture. Then they brought me the wrong furniture not once, but twice. If this was not bad enough, they also decided to charge me for my furniture twice. I called the store and recieved very poor customer service from the female that answered the phone. She said would call me back about the charges. It has been over a week and, I have not recieved any call or help. This place has bad business and needs to hire more informative staff. The sales person who sold me my table gave me the wrong information about the material, but I decided to let that go...there is not enough time in the day. Rooms to Go has poor customer service. I am very unsatisfied with their professionalism.
