Department of History is a part of the University of South Carolina and is located in Columbia, S.C. Department of History offers a range of programs for both undergraduate and graduate students. It offers various undergraduate courses in European civilization, introduction to Asian civilization, introduction to African history, age of renaissance and historians craft. The department also offers other programs in French Revolution and Napoleon, contemporary Europe, modern Germany and Napoleonic wars. It provides financial assistance to students in the form of assistantships, stipends and tuitions. In addition, the college organizes trips to various scholarly conferences where the students present their research work.
