Americanwork is pretty terrible. The only reason they have such a large clientele is because no one can afford to pay. Because most of the people are poor; this translates to basically "getting what you pay for," which in this case means nothing substantial. There is only one psychiatrist on staff so he doesn't really have time to have full on dialogues with you about your condition. Also the therapists aren't interested in anything but CBT therapy because that is what they're paid for. Therefore if that approach doesn't appeal to you, then you are SOL (**** out of luck). I've been going to this place for five years because I can't afford to go anywhere else because of my disability. Nonetheless, the quality of mental health care shouldn't be this bad, but it is. It's places like this that make me realize how worthless the mental healthcare system is here in America and why some people just flat out refuse treatment.
