Located in Columbus, Ga., and founded in 1965, Hardaway High School provides a variety of educational opportunities for students. It is also designated as an international baccalaureate world school. It consists of departments, such as chorus, English, fine arts, foreign languages, health and physical education, media center, math, science, social studies and theatre arts. Its library offers research help and resources for assignments and personal information needs. It also offers books, information and materials for recreational interests. The school s IB program is a college preparatory program that offers junior and senior level students college-level courses with an international perspective. The Hardaway High School has a guidance department that provides information on class choice, postsecondary planning, standardized tests, report cards, academic potential, acceleration and curriculum. It also provides information on career development, motivation, personal relationships, depression, employment and risk-taking behaviors.
