Slater B. Lowry, MD received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) and graduated from the UAB in Birmingham School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans (affiliated hospitals including world-famous Charity Hospital). Dr. Lowry also completed a two-year program in Internal Medicine and Anatomic & Surgical Pathology at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. Dr. Lowry completed three years of active duty service as an officer in the US Army Medical Corps, where he served in emergency rooms and clinics, and spent a three-month tour in the harsh Mojave Desert.
