My grandmother had a small 2-bedroom house outside of Columbus in Upper Arlington. She recently passed away and I was asked to fly out to help get her estate together. She had YEARS of accumulated stuff. Old stuff, new stuff, all kinds of stuff! I walked in and did not know where to start. Needless to say she needed packing and there was NO way I could do all that by myself. I was so overwhelmed! I called a few moving companies and asked their advice. They did not want to hear what my problem was, or what I actually needed. They quoted me outrageous prices, and overlooked the problem of me not having a way to get supplies for all her stuff. Finally after taking a much needed break, I googled moving companies and up popped Blue Oak Movers. I called at about 8:45p Ohio time, (I forgot about the time change) and figured either someone would answer, or not if they were still there. I got their answering service and left a message. I filled out a brief form for them online thinking I would probably get a call the next day. To my surprise, the Dispatcher Manager person called me from another number. It was her personal cell. She said she was monitoring the inbox of the company email for anyone that might need a quick quote, or a current customer that may not have had cell service or a landline because of their move, and they may have needed something at the last minute. Who does that anymore? Anyway, I told her of my situation. I told her I was overwhelmed and did not know where to start. She told me to relax, that she was there to help me no matter how long it took. Long story short she arranged for supplies to be dropped off at her office and a crew set aside for me. They came the next day with packing supplies, moving boxes and equipment. She had two men moving larger furniture from the upstairs, while two men and I had boxes laid out side to side, so I could pick up an item and decide to keep or toss. When the keep box was full, the person labeled the box and set it by the door for the movers to notice the way out the door. They did this all day, and managed to get that house cleared out of clutter so we could focus on the keep items. The boxes of keep stuff they loaded into the truck for which most was going to different donation centers, they made several extra stops to drop it all off. They worked systematically from top to bottom so they would not crowd each other. It was like a well-oiled machine! I had them come back the next day, and what was left of the furniture, again went to donation centers except a few boxes of Gram’s personal items. Having the same people came back was comfortable for me. I cannot tell you how much Sherman, Darrian, Eddie and Andre helped me out! They worked very diligently and steadfast. I want to also give thumbs up to the Dispatcher Kim, who set this whole thing in motion. If it were not for her answering that phone and devising a plan for me, I might STILL be packing that house! She actually sent me a checklist that gave me follow up tasks I may have forgotten. Now that is service! Thank you Blue Oak Movers, for rescuing me. I highly recommend your services!

There was a passion in the staff of Blue Oak Moving and Storage that I did not expect. Everyone from the folks in the office to the men who came to the home to assist with the actual lifting were in good spirit and seemed truly happy to be doing what they were doing. This was extremely unexpected as generally you would think moving is a tough business to be in. Every single team member at Blue Oak Moving that we had the pleasure of dealing with was friendly and assisting. They even guessed what we needed and provided for it. Blue Oak Moving was the best choice we made when moving, aside from our new home :)

First class is the best way to describe the service we had received from Blue Oak Moving and Storage. These guys were proficient, caring, and most importantly careful. It's rare to find all of those qualities in a local mover, but Schea Van Lines did it and did it properly. Beyond helpful and grateful for the work these guys did for me.

We had a good move. It was not an easy one as it did take two days total to complete. However, the entire team from Blue Oak Moving worked hard throughout. No one ever slagged along. Moral was high and work ethic was there. After the actual two moving days, we had a few last things we needed taken care of. The men from Blue Oak Moving came out and attended to us. The professionalism and follow up made it a great experience.

My family are big fans of Blue Oak Moving and Storage. The guys did a great. We had them take our home to storage and just recently they finally moved us back out. We explained to the coordinators in the office which pieces were going to be important to us. Blue Oak Moving and Storage made certain to pay special attention to those specific pieces. We also had our floors done and fresh paint on the walls of the home obviously. They paid special attention to these factors and brought proper protective material. It was extremely helpful having the men on the same page.

Blue Oak Moving did an excellent job for my family. We were moving from Hilliard to Dublin. Not terribly far, but we wanted to be certain we hired the right company. Blue Oak Moving and Storage sent out an estimator to review the home prior. The rep determined that we would need 3 men and one truck. He was very accurate in his guesstimate as it took one very full truck. The move was done in a single day with about eight hours of service. All in all we had an extremely positive experience with Blue Oak Moving. Would suggest them to anyone in need of service!
