Solid organ transplant (SOT) is a life-changing event in a patient's life! I love bringing this joy to patients in need. I specialize in managing patients with chronic kidney disease and supporting pre- and post-op SOT patients. However, as a transplant nephrologist, I also help patients with kidney, pancreas or liver transplants as well as other solid organ transplants that have led to kidney issue efore training in transplant nephrology, I worked as an internist and nephrologist in a medically underserved community in rural California. This experience taught me the impact that compassionate care makes to a physician's practice and patient outcomes. I wish to continue on this path and evaluate potential transplant recipients via outreach clinics in the community. During my time in California, I also helped establish a nurse practitioner residency program and imparted nephrology training to residents. Later, during transplant nephrology training, I jumped at the opportunity to teach medical students and residents while giving patients the best care possible. At The Ohio State University College of Medicine, I can't wait to see how I can continue to educate and mentor students as an assistant professo n terms of research, I'm very interested in long-term allograft outcomes with early and late T-cell mediated rejection as well as transplantation in patients with advanced malignanc 'm proud that The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is one of the leading institutions in multi-organ transplantation with over 300 kidney transplants a year. We take pride in providing top-notch patient care with excellence in clinical and basic science research. It's only made possible because we have an excellent group of transplant physicians, surgeons, APP and ancillary staff working togethe n my free time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, biking, time with family, music on vinyl and photography.
