Had a friend of mine hire someone who works for this business to do plumbing work in his house. My friend had told me the plumber passed by the television and showed enthusiasm in regards to the wrongful deaths of LGBTQ+ individuals in the Orlando shooting, along with other homophobic comments. It is NOT okay, nor professional, to be discriminatory towards those who belong in that community, no matter how you dress it up. You could have customers, like my friend, who belong to the LGBTQ+ community. A lack of professionalism towards them and no respect for the deceased runs you a risk of losing customers. But that should be obvious common sense. I'm not sure why a lesson on respect for human lives needs to be reiterated to an adult who works in an industry that has diverse clientele.
