The Division of Hazardous Waste Management is managed by Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. The division is responsible for promoting pollution prevention and the proper management and cleanup of hazardous waste. It offers inspection services for waste generating facilities, as well as oversees hazardous waste cleanups. The Division of Hazardous Waste Management also executes an enforcement program. The division provides services in the areas of compliance assistance and pollution prevention. It oversees the Cessation of Regulated Operations program, which requires companies to secure their facilities when they go out of business. The Division of Hazardous Waste Management publishes a newsletter, The Notifier.
