2 weeks ago i responded to the businesses craigslist ad, to get my dryer duct cleaned. He came, looked at it, poked around a bit then claimed to be blowing it out. I was taking care of an 8 month old ans was unable to supervise him when he was outside, i have no idea what if anything he did. About an hour later he tells me it's all done, my vent is clean, and i owe him 60 dollars.I pay him, and he leaves, I assumed to go get paperwork and my receipt, but instead he just leaves.I run a load in the dryer and discover that it still takes three hours to dry a load. Assuming that my (new) dryer is at fault, i call sears since it's still under warranty. sears repair tech comes out, tests airflow with the vent on, tests airflow with the vent off, proves to me vent is still clogged.I call mid west air care back, tell him what's going on, ask him to stand by his work and return to fix the issue, he tells me he cannot return until next tuesday (5 days later) tuesday comes with no word. I call and get voicemail. leave a message asking him to call me back and let me know when to expect him. no call back. called again today (wednesday), this time was sent straight to voicemail. left another message, still no call back. These people are a scam, i don't know that he did anything except take my money, and refuse to stand by his work
