Attorney Cynthia Roy came highly recommended to me by 3 people in my life who did not know each other at the time they recommended her. I called to schedule an interview and was 100% sure when I left that meeting that she was who I wanted by my side during my divorce process. For reasons beyond my control and covid , what should have been a simple divorce turned into a 2yr process, during this drawn out process Attorney Roy was much more than just an attorney. She has earned my trust and respect. I referred 2 ladies to her during this time for their divorces, they feel the same way about her that I do. I have learned a lot from Attorney Roy and highly recommend her, she is direct, very focused, a good listener and will give you advice when needed and go straight to giving you answers when she knows what is best. She has an awesome record for success for her clients, I was told she has a reputation of being a "pit bull" and being a lover of dogs I know that is a good reference; loyal, committed, focused and protective, she is who you want to be by your side in court not who you want to be across from in court.

If you are interested in losing your case, Cynthia Roy is the perfect attorney for you. She never answers her office phone, and takes up to 1-2 weeks to return voice messages. At one point towards the end, we waited for over 2 months to get a return call with an update.



During our court appointments, Cynthia (Cindy) Roy typically waited until the morning of trial to familiarize herself with updates. Most often on the day of court, she requested case details that were previously provided both verbally and via email. Cynthia was somewhat knowledgeable in her field of course, but she was terrible at communicating that knowledge to us as her clients. Her work tenacity is horrific: she often sided and agreed with the opposing party. While her prices are lower than other family law attorneys in Columbus, it is not wise to pay less for terrible service and legal advice, especially when your children's lives' are at the mercy of the court. There is absolutely nothing positive about Cyndi: she was often cranky, moody, and very short with us as her clients, as if we were bothering her for updates. After waiting for more than 2 months, she finally called me back, and asked for my husband’s schedule for a meeting (I’m not sure why she didn’t just call my husband directly). She was not remotely apologetic for her unexplained leave of absence, and she failed to acknowledge any of the 10+ voice messages we had left for her over a period of 2 months. Her attitude is poor, and we were embarrassed to be represented by her. Please seek other counsel!!
