Sterling Sports Management, LLC ( Sterling Sports ) had its genesis as the natural outgrowth of a highly regarded Columbus, Ohio law firm. The law firm began representing many athletes in several different sports and the significant increase in the number of the law firm's sports clients provided the opportunity to establish a separate sports agency. Sterling Sports was born and is proud to have thrived over the years as a leader in the industry. Sterling Sports is managed by attorneys and is able to provide terrific direction and advice in this area. There is no question that many of the needs and demands of today's athletes are best served by highly qualified legal professionals who can assist in guiding the athlete through the many opportunities and pitfalls he or she will face. Sterling Sports is directed by Jeff Chilcoat, President of Sterling Sports. Jeff has represented athletes for many years in player contract negotiations, endorsement agreements, media arrangements, marketing, public relations, and tax planning. The experience of Jeff and the other professionals, coupled with a high level of personal service, has made Sterling Sports a leader in the sports agency field. Loyalty, honesty, dedication and the highest level of integrity are the hallmarks of Sterling Sports. As the staff and different gifts of various individuals have expanded, Sterling has grown the types of services and practice areas. JS Kang and Joe Speed joined the fold years ago and have become instrumental partners in this growth. JS focuses his efforts in golf and Joe runs the baseball division. Each year, Sterling selectively represents only a few new clients. By limiting the number of new clients, Sterling Sports is able to provide a consistently high level of attention to each of its athlete clients.
