A native Long Islander, Jeffrey Hart, DO, graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University in 2004 and received his Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Maintaining his New York roots, Dr. Hart completed his orthopedic surgical residency at North Shore/LIJ Plainview Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at The Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida. At St. Charles Orthopedics, Dr. Hart focuses on issues with hips, knees, and shoulders and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for his patients in a comprehensive and compassionate nature. He specializes in total hip replacements, partial and total knee replacements, and minimally invasive, muscle sparing techniques utilizing advanced computer and robotic-assisted surgery, including MAKOplasty Robotic partial knee replacement. His surgical expertise also extends to shoulder and knee arthroscopy for soft-tissue and ligament injuries as well as fracture care management and trauma surgery. Alongside Dr. Douglas Petraco, director of Orthopedics for St. Charles Hospital, Dr. Hart performed the hospitals first ambulatory total hip replacement. Dr. Hart is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, New York State Osteopathic Medical Association, American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association

The Best Quality Care!

I visited Dr. Hart after experiencing excruciating hip pain, only two years removed from a labrum repair. Dr. Hart reviewed my x-rays, and went into a detailed discussion of what I was experiencing. After weighing the options, I elected to have a full left hip replacement in November of 2016, and I couldn't be happier with the results. After surgery, I was able to resume my active lifestyle of running & beach volleyball, thanks to the excellent care of Dr. Hart. I highly recommend!

Dr. Hart is AMAZING

I had a torn meniscus. Dr. Hart was Recommended by a friend . Best recommendation ever. Prior to Dr. Hart I was going to Advance Othropedics where I would sit for hours waiting to be called in every appointment. I was told my knee looked “fine” & I shouldn’t worry. Worst place ever. So glad I came across Dr. Hart . He actually sits there and listens to you . Thanks to him I’m no longer suffering in pain. I’m at 100%. Thank you Dr. Hart for all you have done & continue to do .

Full knee replacement

Dr. Hart is the best! My full knee replacement was done in 2015 and my recovery and current condition was/is excellent. Dr Hart and his PA, Ryan are equally outstanding and highly recommended. I'm looking forward to my second full knee replacement in a few weeks.

Awesome experience

Saw Dr Hart after a work injury as an emergency. He took me promptly and got me out of pain quickly.
