"I spoke to and discussed my business needs with several different Business Brokers in order to find a professional with whom I felt most comfortable listing my business for sale and representing myself and my husband. I worked with one Business Broker prior to hiring John Irvine, and that experience turned out to be disappointing and a waste of time. During my second go-around John Irvine struck me as a competent, experienced, no-nonsense professional who would be most capable of selling my business and educating me throughout the process. During the months my business was listed for sale John maintained regular communication providing me updates as needed, comparative statistics so I understood the current market, as well as reports provided from the listing websites he was utilizing to market our store. John was very responsive every time I emailed or called, I always appreciated his prompt replies. Most importantly, he communicated very well with me whenever we had a prospective buyer discussing his thoughts and ideas in detail to ensure I was on the same page and in agreement moving forward. Once we had our "Buyer" and the process of selling the business became a reality, he was very good about continually keeping me informed as to what communication, questions, and actions were taking place with the "Buyer" to move the transaction closer to escrow. At times during the process with our "Buyer" things got challenging and stressful and John did a great job keeping things in perspective so my husband and I could make the best informed decisions about what steps to take. He was matter of fact, direct, and informative, which is what we wanted and needed. Selling a business is not easy. You must have confidence in your Broker and you must trust that he/she will work with you to accomplish the common goal you have. I found John Irvine to be honest, hard-working, well intentioned and an overall pleasure to work with."
