Contractor performed "unjourneymanlike work." Specifically:

1) New posts not set to sufficient depth
2) Insufficient foundation for posts: Contractor did not use a sufficient amount of concrete for each fence post (estimate only one bag per hole, based on observed concrete loaded in for project). In addition, contractor did not place gravel at the bottom of the hole to allow for drainage.
3) One original post left in place. All of the other original posts were rotted and it is likely that this post is, as well.
4) Contractor did not bother to rake or otherwise attempt to clear out the soil and other detritus that had accumulated along the old fence line. Instead, the new fence was installed on top of the accumulated material. As a result, the fence boards on the new fence are set 10-12 inches higher than the existing fences on our property.

Overall shoddy workmanship.
