The Red Scare

I rate this place with one star for at least having alcohol there, and that's where anything good ends in this story. It is a busy Friday night with only one incompetent bartender. I hand her my card (mistake #1) and she leaves it open. Upon returning for a second drink I tell her my name and she tells me she doesn't have a card with my name on it. I look over at the register only to see cards and scattered receipts everywhere (don't panic I tell myself). Did you drop it? Did it fall? All of the cards are right there she says without so much as lifting a hand. Since she clearly can't read I try to draw a picture of the card in hopes that maybe she can match pretty pictures instead. You'll have to just cancel your card she says.( Or maybe you gave it to another person who is charging it up right now I think). The owner comes out and tells me it's not a big deal just cancel your card. Oh and he'll need another card so he can charge me for the drinks of course. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Cancelling my card seems to be the only way at this point. (Some how I have a feeling this happens a lot here) But wait there is more, it's Memorial Day Weekend! Oh no problem, I'm sure I won't need my card for 7-10 business days. I will NEVER go back to the Red Hat.....even with cash.

Red Hat Just a hole in the wall Neighborhood Bar

Just a hole in the wall bar. New owners as of 2008. Starting to put some money into it. Its getting there. Depending on your bartender drinks vary in price and can be a "good deal" or the "I won't be ordering that again" pricing.
