Located in Concord, N.C., Cabarrus County General Services is a government department that is comprised of administration, facility services, and fleet, building and grounds maintenance divisions. It is responsible for planning, directing and providing maintenance and repairs to county-owned facilities, grounds and vehicles. The department operates information technology services department that provides computer and communication services to other departments and establishes the architecture and standards for software, hardware, network and telecommunications services. Cabarrus County General Services additionally maintains a social services department that manages resources with stewardship. In addition, it provides financial and technical assistance to landowners and land users to manage natural resources. The department owns more than 60 structures and over 10 leased structures and houses nearly 900 county, state and federal employees.
