I had a wonderful experience at A Day to Remember. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and I showed up for my appointment very overwhelmed and not having a clear vision of what I wanted.

My consultant Karen was super calm and nice and started focusing on little things I knew I did or didn't want and suggested we try a variety of dress shapes with those elements to start with. Having that plan and knowing she understood made me feel so much more relaxed. Actually seeing myself in the dresses really let us narrow in on a silhouette I liked and felt pretty in.

She then went and grabbed a dress that she thought I'd love and it was perfect! It was MY dress the second I laid eyes on it. I put it on and my mother was in tears the second I came out of the dressing room. I ended up buying the dress that day. An experience I thought would be months of headaches ended up being wonderful. I recently had my wedding and everyone remarked how much the dress was 'me' and gorgeous.

She was amazing and I absolutely recommend shopping for your dress here.

So disappointed! I went to A Day to Remember on Main Street in Concord. I bought my daughter a dress that was $199 and was on sale for $149. When we got home, we found it for $118 at every online store we looked at - the manufacturer's suggested retail price!!!! The store owner did not care, would not credit us the $31 and refused to take the dress back since it was a final sale. She even had the nerve to tell me that $31 is not very much money and was not that big of a deal. I will NEVER go back there!!!!!

My experience here was mildly ...

My experience here was mildly irritating, starting with finally choosing a dress, and then being told it would not arrive on time. (Granted, I am naive and didn't realize dresses could take so long to come in, however, when I gave them my wedding date, that should have been a red flag that certain dresses were not an option for me). Because I could not have the dress I originally chose, I picked one from the same designer by looking at a picture on the computer. The dress came in within a week - as it was a "priority" dress. When I tried it on at the shop, it very clearly did not fit. I brought this to the clerk's attention and I was told that it may not be fitting correctly because it had not yet been steamed. When I got it home, I realized that the broach on the back panel had been ripped by the clerk trying to get me into the dress. I left a message, no return call. I went in and spoke with Helen, who after 20 minutes of arguing with me (the ripped broach is my problem, I must have gained wait - which is not really possible in a week, etc. - it was determined that the dress was, in fact, defective. The front panel was a size 4, the back panel was probably a size 2. This, of course, is not the fault of the store. However, it was left that Helen would contact the designer about a replacement dress. Before any decisions were made, I expected a phone call of which I did not receive. After some further thought, I decided I did not want to run the risk of an issue with this designer again, so I left a message with a staff member for her to cancel it altogether. She either did not receive this message, or ignored it. She went ahead and ordered me a replacement dress anyway. We made an appointment to discuss and she didn't show. I waited an half hour for her staff to get a hold of her via phone to no avail. I understand that all sales are final, however, that is null and void when the dress that the contract pertained to is defective. She will not allow a refund and I am now stuck with a dress I do not want. I plan to sell it and spend that money elsewhere. I will also point out that I was nothing but patient, gracious, and understanding throughout this joke of a process. While the store may get my money for this dress (and my maid of honor's dress), my local connections and ability to navigate social media will certainly prevent otherwise potential purchases from this store.

DON'T GO HERE

This is the worst bridal shop ever!! 3 bridesmaids went to this shop to look at dresses; they were pressured into buying the dresses. The owner measured the girls and made them feel horrible about themselves and one bridesmaid did not want to get the dress there. The sales person and the owner said that they all 3 had to buy the dresses there that day cause they all had to come off the same spool of fabric. The dresses are black. She the bridesmaid did end up ordering that day. Then they waited and waited and waited till my MOH called to see if they were in yet and the owner VERY rudely said it takes a while for bridesmaid dresses to come in and that they call when they come in, but she checked on their arrival date. Comes back on the phone and tells my MOH that the dresses are in. Never said sorry you never got a call, nothing. My MOH goes in and picks them up and finds that her dress is in a different fabric and that the dresses had come into the store over a month ago and she never got called. The owner and the sales person told my MOH that this was her fault and that there is nothing they would do for her. So here is what I will do for everyone else make sure that NO ONE you know goes to A Day to Remember because they are the WORST. Stay far away.

bad service

The sales people were nice at first, probably to get our business, then were very rude and we felt rushed when we went in for fittings. When they finally got the bridesmaids dresses in, they were in the wrong color but nothing could be done since the wedding was in a few days. On top of that they misspelled all the bridesmaids names. They offered no apology to the bride who was in tears, and took no responsibility for the mix up which was totally their fault. Weddings are stressful enough, so save yourself a headache and shop somewhere else.
