I emailed them about price inquiry and instead of being helpful Pam was short and rude with me. She only stated that they did not have set prices and didn't ask me any questions or try to give me any information. So when I replied with all the information I figured she'd need to get me some kind of price; number of people, catering, linens, etc., and at the bottom told her my preferred date was March of 2016 but that was completely negotiable. She didn't get back to me for a whole week and when she finally did she only stated she did not have any openings for Spring of 2016. Didn't give me any other options for dates and any information on their venue. VERY RUDE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

LIARS, CHEATERS & SNAKES

I am writing this review after a long while of waiting for Pam & David Carter, owners of Chantilly Country, to make arrangements for repayment of our 4,000.00 that they owe to us. It all started in June of 2009. Upon arriving at the property,I toured the facility. The factor that sold me on the facility was that Pam Carter told me that if anything changed and we were not able to have the wedding anymore, all but the 500.00 deposit would be refunded to us as long as we cancelled within 30 days from the date of the wedding. The contract that Pam submitted to me for review states, "500.00 is due to reserve date and is non-refundable. Payments must be made monthly on remaining balance and must be paid in full by 30 days of the event." I paid the balance in full with a check and mailed it to her. She was to sign the contract and return a copy to me, which she never did. Insead, she sent me a letter stating the obvious, that I had paid for a wedding of 150 guests, menu to be decided, etc. for 4,000.00. There was a place for her to sign, and she left it blank. I called for two weeks prior to Jan.1 st. to try to tell Pam that I was no longer able to have the wedding. Pam would let the phone ring or forward my call to her voicemail. Finally, after two weeks, Pam answered to say that they had been in Ireland and that they would be in Colorado for the next two weeks at their ranch.I called the next week and the husband, David, first time I had ever talked to or heard of him, answered. He said Pam was unavailable. For heaven's sake if you are being paid 4,500.00 almost a year in advance, you should be nice to your customers! Also, you should not spend ANY of the money until the date of the event. As Pam said, refunds were submitted to those who needed to cancel their plans as long as they were made prior to 30 days before the event. Upon speaking to David Carter, I immediately requested to speak with Pam, who I had been dealing with from the start. He said that he would be handling things from here on out! Pam Carter was not woman enough to be true to her word and not hold up her contract. After meeting David in person with three witnesses at my side, he was unable to produce a copy of the contract that I signed, and even had to go inside his house and make a copy of mine! I was appalled! David Carter even suggested that the only way we might see any money back was if my husband and I went out and tried to convince some friends to go ahead and get married or find another replacement couple on the same date of our anniversary! The contract does not state "ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS WHATSOEVER". Everyone knows that even if you go shopping, the return/ refund policy is always stated on the back of the reciept! On top it all off, Pam was nowhere to be found. She was too chicken to ever even come and speak to me face to face like a woman. I know that she knows what she told me and what my contract shows is proof and that's why she wouldn't come out to speak to me. We have given these people ample time to repay our family and do the right thing, and they have not. We even asked them if it would help them if they agreed to a monthly pay out plan. They refused.

I'll tell you what happened. David and Pam Carter went and spent all of my husbands' hard earned, blood, sweat and tears money before the date of the event, when in reality, any professional God-fearing person would have put it in the bank and not spend a dime until they were within the 30 day period of no cancellations just prior to the event date. They spent every last penny. My husband and I have now retained an attorney that is suing David and Pam Carter, owners of Chantilly Country for the 4,000.00 that they had no right to spend, and for the attorneys fees which have already exceeded 3,000.00.
