I hired Paulo Ramos to do my sign on the building as well as on the marquee in 2012. The work itself was great. Unfortunately, I found out almost two years after the sign on the marquee had been put up that Paulo did not pull permits to put the sign up. After speaking with the inspector AND other sign companies, the amount he charged me should have covered the permits. I tried unsuccessfully for almost three months to get Paulo to correct this error, and he repeatedly gave me and the business next to me the run around (we both got signs done by him and neither signs had permits pulled for them) He kept telling us he would take care of it, then just refused to take our calls. I'm most disappointed in him because I was the one that referred his company to all of the other businesses in the plaza and he not only got business from almost every single one, he got permits for them. I ended up having to scramble to find a sign company willing to "sign" off on another sign makers work to get the permits pulled (which cost me twice as much because the San Antonio Economic Development double charged ME for not having a permit for my sign) Thankfully, Allied signs stepped up to the plate and helped me with this issue. Small businesses shouldn't be screwing other small businesses over to make a buck. Paulo knew he was wrong and left his customer's hanging. If you use Arcom Signs, I say demand a copy of the permit and make sure it shows on your invoice he pulled a permit for your sign (ask for the permit number and verify it before paying this guy). As a small business owner, paying for a sign twice was difficult for me, and for the business next to me. I hope you remember what comes around, Paulo, goes around. Integrity is something you can't buy, and you lost yours when you stole money from me and charged me for a permit you never got. And the address listed is not correct, that's a residence. I wonder how many people he's hiding from. He's no longer in Converse, he's off Perrin Beitel now.
