I have used this salon for years. My dogs love Mari. I am sorry to hear others had bad experiences...but, I would think trying to cut the hair on a wiggly dog might sometimes lead to a nip or uneven cut. But, if the people are kind dog lovers that is the most important thing to me.

We have used bark about it for several years, not because they are great, but because they have been convenient. Over the years we have had many incidents when we have said we would never return (cuts to ears, bad haircuts), but our most recent one seals the deal.

We made an appointment for our two dogs for Friday to be groomed. I dropped them off at 0740 . At 200 I called to check on them. At 430 we called and were told that they would not be ready until 630 . At 515 I called and asked if I could just come get them, I didn't care if they had been blow dried. I was told that they hadn't even been bathed or clipped. At 630 when we got there to pick them up they were not ready, and said it would be 645. At 645 one dog was ready but not the other. At 710 my other dog was ready. That is 11 hours and 30 minutes!!!!! Almost 12 hours that my dogs that never stay in a kennel were in kennels without food and water or a potty.

That story is bad enough isn't it?

However it doesn't end there......

The check that I made out was to bark about it. They called and asked if I would return to change it to the specific groomer. When I returned I asked her if she knew how displeased we were with our experience? She said yes but that they booked 15 dogs and only had 2 groomers. I replied that she could have told me that and I would have taken my dogs home instead of having them stay there all day. She proceeded to be very rude with me. Told me that she had mouths to feed, took my check, and slammed the door in my face.

My dogs will never be returning to bark about it. And if you care about your fur babies you would keep them far away as well!!!!!

I have a Scottie and I love Bark all About It

I found the people there very nice. And for once somebody actually knows how to groom a Scottie! I will always use them for my pet.

After recently moving to Conway I needed to get my pup groomed and had no frame of reference for grooming spots in town so basically just googled and 'Bark About It' was the firs to pop up so I called to get my dog in. It was literally the worst experience I have ever had with a grooming salon or business in general. I dropped my dog off at 8 am and gave them very specific details about the style cut I wanted. My dog has sensitive skin so I asked for it to not be too short etc. I was told to arrive to pick up up at 1:15 pm. I arrived a little early and was told it would be another 5 mins which was not a big deal. The weather was snowy and several of the employees left work early...I completely understood why there was a wait. 5 mins turned into 35 mins and eventually 40. Around this time I noticed that the curtain they use to separate the clients from their dogs was opened so I could peak in and see from where I standing my dog being groomed. I watched for about 5 mins and as the employee started clipping around my dogs eyes he, like most dogs would, backed up..and this is when the problem ensued. I watched this woman, unbeknownst to her, GRAB my dogs head VERY aggressively from where he backed up and aggressively move him forward into place. He is a 13 pound dog and the force she used on him was absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I was shocked and had to stop myself from going into the room to rescue my dog. At this point he backs up again and once again she uses WAY too much force as she is getting very agitated at him for moving while scissors are unprofessionally(she had no clue what she was doing and that was obvious) place beside his eye. At this point I could not help but enter the room and tell her that she was to hand me my dog immediately and that I saw what she just did. At this point she turns around to confront me and DROPS my dog off the table. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner of the grooming salon then begin to argue with me that what I witnessed was incorrect and it was just a grooming technique. I demanded my dog, the owner refunded my money, and we left quickly. My dog had still NOT been bathed and honestly wreaked to the point I had to bathe him as soon as we got home. I would just caution anyone to stay away from this place. They are UNPROFESSIONAL, rude, and confrontational when there is a problem.
