Founded in 1871, First United Methodist Church is an inclusive church open to all, offering various prayer opportunities, three worship services on Sundays, including traditional and contemporary worship styles, as well as Sunday school for all ages, fellowship opportunities and more. Based in Conway, Ark., its ministries include music programs, children and youth ministries, college ministries and prayer ministries. The church offers services in helping children, homeless, ill and grieving persons. Additionally, the church supports numerous mission trips nationwide as part of the Volunteer in Mission program, while its Congregational Care Committee offers services, including transportation to church, preparing bereavement meals and more. As members of a worldwide connectional church, the organization responds to disasters and human needs worldwide, providing food and financial relief to needy persons.
