Amusing, very helpful people work there. You can even request something and they'll try to get their hands on it for you.

I'd characterize it as a rather dusty and mildly organized working-man's antique shop--where things are not terribly expensive, but you might actually be able to use them. If you like to use old things instead of just collecting fancy bits, this place is pretty perfect.
