They messed up the Chicken Philly 3 times over a 21/2 month period. Called the second time it happened, staff took a message and promised one of the owners would get back to me, and NEVER heard a word back. I ordered the sandwich the way it comes, so no changes to it, They charge $6.45 for the sandwich ONLY and they don't put about half the ingredients they advertise on the menu for it! The 3rd time this happen I called and Tammy one of the owners gets on the phone, and I the customer of course, is upset as this is the 3rd time this has happened, and she starts yelling at me! Said she never got the message and made out like it was my fault she never received the message her own employee took! Calls the cook up front and says there is mushrooms on it, and I told her I was still in my car outside looking at the sandwich( I checked it before leaving after the last 2 times) and asked if she was calling me a liar as there wasn't any mushrooms on it, and just 2 little strips of peppers! Then she said well the cooks make it like they were taught, so they were taught to not make it properly. She is screaming at me the entire time, and obviously doesn't want or try to attempt to make it right, so I just asked for a full refund, had my daughter take it back in, and my daughter said she was running her mouth the entire time, and said she didn't want to serve me anyhow. Granted this was an order I placed by phone at 1:40 pm and it wasn't ready until 2:11 pm, a 31 minute wait, and tried to blame it off on a lunch rush. Daughter said there was only 2 tables in the whole place. Also, before any of this went down and while my daughter was waiting, 2 elderly ladies said they had been waiting for 20 mins, and when asked the owner for their drink cups, she replied hateful, you could have waited a minute or two longer. I called to speak to her husband after getting my refund, and he was no better. It seems the customer is responsible for getting their employees to get their messages to them, accepting what they throw in the box even though you paid $6.45 for a sandwich only, and if you say something to only get screamed and yelled at cause obviously it's the customers fault that they can't make their sandwiches like they advertise, which in reality is false advertisement, if it has happen 3 times in a row!

Atmosphere

At the drive-by, the atmosphere of this place invites. Its well-executed, cohesive diner concept draws you right in from the street. When we walked in at about 11:30am on a weekday, the place was humming and filled to capacity. The theme was colorfully and cohesively carried out as promised from the street presence. From the striking, black and white tiled floors to the red accents, to the quirky wall art, it had a fun, cool vibe, which did not disappoint.

50’s style uniforms would really put the theme over the top.

Service

Laid back is the term that comes to mind. Come on in. Pick a table and sit down. One gets the feeling that you are welcome to stay and chat. The service was friendly if not a bit absent. We had to go get our waitress a couple of times. But when she did arrive, she promptly told us the special and smartly put down a cup for each of us to full with a drink. This made us much more likely to purchase a drink while we waited for the food. She was cheerful and did a sufficient job.

They also have local delivery. This hardly bears mentioning until you see the adorable, golf cart delivery car decked out as a 50’s car complete with rumble seat. (I think that’s where the order must be stashed in this tiny, eye catching micro car.) How clever! It really turns heads and gets the job done with a kitchy twist. Fun!

Food

The menu selection was good. It included what one would expect from a diner: apps, burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, sides, desserts, etc… Our food was tasty, hot and well presented. One thing we really liked was the sweet hot mustard available at each table. It was fun to try and delicious.

Venue meeting expectations, I’d give this restaurant a solid 8.5 out of 10. I’ll definitely go back and probably bring the family next time.
