Sealy Mattress is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sealy Corporation. The company manufactures a broad range of mattresses and foundations under the Sealy, Sealy Posturepedic, Stearns & Foster and Bassett brand names. Sealy Corporation, through its subsidiaries, is among the largest bedding manufacturers in the world. Sealy operates 34 plants and sells its products to retail outlets in the United States, including furniture stores, leading department stores, sleep shops and mass merchandisers. Sealy is also a supplier to the hospitality industry. In addition, the company manufactures many of the component parts that are used inside the mattress. Sealy owns and operates a component manufacturing subsidiary with three plants that produces virtually all of the company s proprietary and patented mattress innerspring requirements and half of its foundation components. Sealy Mattress facility in Conyers, Ga., is one of several locations throughout North America.
