The Coolidge Police Department is a law enforcement agency that promotes public safety, identifies and solves criminal cases and safeguards citizens rights. It employs more than 40 sworn employees, civilians and volunteers. The department maintains a field services division that is comprised of patrol and investigations bureaus. The Coolidge Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior. In addition, it operates a support services division that oversees various administrative functions of the police department, such as communications, records, computer and telephone operations, fiscal planning and management, facilities maintenance and crime analysis.
