Someone dumped a senile old frail cat on our farm, My husband & I are disabled & money is very tight & we are barely getting by these days- we took the cat in for a day & then bought it in to be humanely put down or cared for.-- For 21 years I have donated to this shelter & gave many times to the thrift store they operate. They would not take the cat unless I gave $40 which I explained I could not, as we are barely getting by & after all my donations, I now needed some charity for this poor animal. I was met with a cold hearted woman who would not budge with no regard for this poor cat & my trying to get it safe & warm out of the cold Nov weather. I urge those who love animals DO NOT give to this place as they DO not care about helping a sick old animal and offering shelter- which is why I & others give & expect that is what our money will do.
