I had a very good experience with Longhaven, which was recommended by my vet. I have a quirky border collie mix and she did great here! She does not do well with most other dogs & will not potty in a kennel. When I told them this, they made sure they took her out by herself to go and also walked and played with her! This is the only place I trust she will not get into trouble!

We will NOT be back.. We were recommended to this Kennel by a dog trainer and took our 85 pound boxer to stay for 3 days. We were told he would be placed in an area that had approximately 20 feet in length for him run. We should have looked at it prior to leaving him there because when we picked him up my husband went to see where he had been and it was EXTREMELY small.. he would have had enough room to walk a couple feet and turn around. They do have larger cages so if you decide to use them make sure to see where your animal will stay.. do not leave it up to them to choose a proper sized cage. The floor is concrete which is fine but because his area was so small we do not think he peed at all.. when we picked him up he went at least 20 times in the 1st hour and continued to pee off and on for the 2nd hour. We also noticed his skin is rubbed raw on one of his front legs on a boney area.. he did not have this prior to bringing him there and we of course think it could be because his area was too small. It is not climate controled but they did have multiple fans running. The people running it seemed nice enough and but unfortunately,based on our experience, we will never bring any of our dog here again.

Yes, she will be more than happy to show you around but all the kennels I've ever been to will do that. I was not pleased with their attitude towards my dog and evidentally he wasn't happy there because he barked alot (so reported). The groomer did a good job and that is why I gave them 3 stars. Will NOT be going there again.



I also did not approve of their payment rules. I've used kennels for about 40 years and have never had one that charged me an extra day if I wasn't there by the crack of dawn to pick up my pet.

I go on at least one long vacation a year and several long weekends. I have used Longhaven Kennels for the past two years and have always had a wonderful experience. The lady that works up front, Nancy, knows exactly who your pet is, how they've been doing, and you can tell the staff there really try to make your pet feel at home as much as possible. It's also nice to be able to pick my little guy up and they'll have him ready to go with a bath and nail trim. I know he's excited to see me and go home when I come pick him up, but I know he loves getting to play with the other dogs that are there too. Highly reccomended. (They're also more than happy to show you around!)
