Very few things are genuinely a "5-star" rating. This means that service far exceeded expectations and that there's literally nothing more that could have been done. So I approach most 5-star reviews with healthy skepticism.



I can, with complete confidence, give Ohio Tree a 5-star rating. Although I'd never heard of their company nor met any of their staff before last night, my wife and I agreed that we will emphatically recommend them to anyone. Here's why:



I did something stupid and, as a result, had a tree ready to fall on the neighbor's fence. I e-mailed Ohio Tree and got a call Sunday evening.



I tried to convince them to come Monday (no one should have to work Sunday evening) but Joey came out anyway and with exceptionally good-nature and enthusiasm proceeded to gently admonish me for my lack of skills and then remove the offending tree.



I was so impressed I asked him to take down another tree but Joey refused with a smile and said, "That tree's healthy. Why do you hate trees?" That's like McDonald's refusing to sell you a Big Mac because you're too fat--it just doesn't happen.



Then Ohio Tree proceeded to take a quick "swing" through my canopy and trim back a dozen or so branches to give me the light I was hoping for.



By this time I would have given Ohio Tree my first-born. They got me out of a dangerous situation, they did it quickly and with aplomb, and we had a genuinely fun time watching and talking with Joey. In this situation charging double or triple-time would have been reasonable.



They didn't.



Ohio Tree charged a fair price for the time it took to un-do my idiocy. That alone speaks to their integrity and character. Rather than prey on a customer who is between the proverbial "rock and a hard place", Joey and Ohio Tree treated it as just another job.



I'm certain there are other very good, friendly, competent tree services in the area. The problem is finding them and feeling confident you are treated fairly. I suggest removing the guess work and hiring Ohio Tree.



Lastly, it's worth noting I'm a school teacher. I'm in no way affiliated with Ohio Tree or their industry. I just feel like these guys deserve an exceptional review because of their integrity and competency.
