My wife and I, talked to Laura Medina at MK travel in Coral Gables, Florida, concerning traveling to Punta Cana, her suggestion was The Belive Hotel, or the new Bavaro Palace Deluxe. She sold us the package to a total of 10 family members including my wife and myself. The package and the Hotel was sold as a 5+ rating, according to Laura, we had Samana Beach in mind and she convinced us that Bavaro Palace Deluxe was the best, lots of entertainment, lots of good restaurants, seafood, and the highest quality service within Punta Cana all inclusive resorts.

To begin, I called Laura a week before traveling and ask her to schedule to have flowers and champagne in the room because we was celebrating our 33 year anniversary, she reply she couldn’t do it, therefore I needed to call and arrange for that, called her many times concerning the flight seating arrangements, she said “it was all done” we get to the airport 2 ½, hours before travelling and no seating reservations was made, we were seated in different seats despite our phone calls confirming with Laura.

Upon arrival to the Hotel, we had to wait Nearly 4 ½ hours to get our rooms, Laura sold us ocean view rooms, when we get to the rooms there was no ocean view, and we had called and verify with Laura,no flowers or champagne in the room and 2 beds, I guess Laura booked it like that, the rooms filled with roaches, conplaint to the front desk, the room cleaning personnel, and reply “we will take care of it”, when we question the Hotel front desk abouth the double beds and ocean view, they reply that MK travel ordered it that way, and that they could not make any changes, that we would have to pay extra for any changes, and that MK Travel is well known for selling packages that don’t pay for to call MK travel, we called talked to a disgusting guy, questioned him about the packaged we got and the rooms and he reply ”what do you want me to do, I don’t have to call or answer anything you are there now, you work it out” and hang up call.

The Hotel management has a very poor management skills, and the reception or front desk follow along, very rood and unfriendly.

The food was not top of the line, the restaurants needed reservations, and they kept telling us that they were all booked, the seafood was fish and only at the buffet restaurants, the food was the same almost every day.

The overall experience was rated poor, from the beginning to the end, from Laura Medina, to the hotel overall. We as a family will not travel to that Hotel (Bavaro Palace Deluxe), is overrated and the quality is service and expectations is again POOR.

It is unfortunate that using MK travel for years and never expected this to happen, something is wrong and I feel I deserve better, my family and myself will think about using MK travel in the future.
