If you or your loved one is considering this facility there are some things to consider. In spending time with my grandfather it was quite apparent that the staffing quality and availability was most comparable to an assisted living. Those who are ambulatory will likely get along OK. Those who are dependent on assistance for transfers or easily confused are at a heavy disadvantage. My grandfather was there for less than a month and was left sitting in filthy diapers to the point that a sore larger than my hand developed. After almost two weeks and minimal effort to address the wound he was finally taken to a wound clinic at which point he was admitted because the dead tissue and poor wound care allowed for the infection to spread to the bone and eventually throughout his body. No apologies were offered as though it's just what happens to everyone. The veteran wound nurses had never seen such a horrible bed sore that had been allowed to develop in such a short time. The administrator offered no solice and acted as though the fully preventable event was no big deal. It must be a big deal since they refused to give the hospital records requested for his treatment. I feel bad for all the staff and residents at that facility.
