Provided by YP.comFor the price you pay here you can get a much safer community. This is not the place for a respectable family, especially if you have small or young children. Our lease is almost up and as soon as it is we are getting out of here. This complex needs 24/7 armed security (which they do not have) to keep the drugs and thugs out of the gym and laundry room at night, and to protect children playing in the park...yes, the park is not safe because of teenage residents and their friends who bully and threaten young children, these teenagers will even threaten adults trying to watch their children play. As a single mother I am not comfortable letting my kids out of our apartment. Kids are running around at all hours and have the absolute foulest mouths, and fights break out daily. The gym is not usable, the ac doesn't work. The playground equipment itself is falling apart because of the teenagers and is not safe for small children to play on. From the outside the complex seems like its in a nice side of town and is close to many great amenities but this is getting more and more ghetto every day. We don't feel safe here. The office staff are friendly, and maintenance has always attempted to fix any issues but not in the correct way which results in more visits to try and quick fix a problem. For the quality of life here you might as well move to the more ghetto areas of the Memphis metro and save a few hundred dollars, otherwise move to a safer complex with better reviews for the same price a bit further up the road.

Provided by YP.comNIGHTMARE!!! Staff is EXTREMELY RUDE (except one person that treated us like people), grounds are filthy and not kept at all, maintenance is almost non-exhistant, and parking is horrible on the weekend. My wife and I signed a short term lease with the apartment complex. We showed up to move into the unit we had already signed a lease agreement to at about 8 am that morning. When we went in to get the keys, they told us that our unit was not ready and that they were trying to get the carpet replaced, and that we could move in the next day. I had a truck full of my stuff and people waiting to help me move in and rain moving in. After a long discussion with several people, they reluctanly put me in a different unit. Therefore, we had to wait in the office for them to type up a whole new contract and I had to call MLGW and have my utilities swapped to a new address. Also, this unit had a fireplace and a washer and dryer in the unit, which they charge more per month for. I had to go back to the office and explain that this is not what I had agreed to and that I would not pay extra for it. I also had my own washer and dryer that I had planned on using. They told me that they did not have anywhere else to put their washer and dryer and that they had to leave it in the apartment and that we could not use it, but that we could use the laundry facility on site. After a heated discussion (one of several that I had with the many rude and disrespectful people that work in the office), they said I could use theirs until they could find a place for them. Two days later, the dryer broke, maintenance was called to come remove it, and this never happened. After two days of not being able to wash clothes without paying for it at their facility, I had to move the washer and dryer out myself and leave them in the dinning area for 2 more days after moving them before they were taken out of our apartment. The next big issue, and warning for those that are thinking about renting here, was when our contract was about to end. Apparently, you are suppose to go into the office and sign some form telling them when you are going to move out, as if the contract is not enough. This also has to be done 60 days before you are to move out, or they will make your lease extend each day until you sign that form. The kicker is they pro-rate each day that is past 60 days and make you pay that when you leave, or they send it to a collection agency. The biggest problem I had with this was that no one told me about this when I signed my contract and they put a note in my door 1 week before the 60 day mark was up. At the time the form was placed in my door, I was away on my honeymoon and did not get back until 5 days after the 60 day mark. We went to the office and signed the form thinking it was not problem, they did not say anything to us while we were there signing, but put another note in our door a week later saying that we had to pay $140 when we move out. When I called and tried to talk with them, they got extremely rude and said that they would not help me, did not care about my circumstances and that if I did not pay it would be sent to collections. So needless to say, my stay here was absolutley horrible and I would not recommend this place on my worst enemy. I can't wait to get away from this place and never have to deal with this migraine again. Please look at other apartments for your sake and sanity.
